Being a bat is no simple task. They can’t even see under their nose, yet they navigate their world with flawless precision. In this mixed reality experience, you can become a bat for a few minutes as well, entering a realm where sound takes the place of sight. With a special headset, you step into darkness, using your own cries to “light up” the environment as sound bounces back to reveal the space around you. The project asks whether we can truly understand another species, exploring the limits of human empathy and imagination.
