Shadowtime

Shadowtime is a phenomenon during which we experience two different mental realities at the same moment. This phenomenon can occur, for example, when a person preparing a meal for their child suddenly realizes that an endemic flower that has evolved for 42.7 million years became extinct in the lifetime of their child. The VR project Shadowtime plays with similar paradoxes and involves the medium of virtual reality itself in the concept of perception of time and space. Through it all we are guided by Alma, a mysterious guide telling us about the climate crisis, the irreconcilable realities of our world, and the virtual world as another of the important shadows of our time.
