The Building

The Building is a VR game set in a mid-century style government building. The goal is simple yet a little unclear: explore the space, ascend the floors, and witness the absurdity that unfolds. The atmosphere of this liminal space is stark yet quietly surreal, the clerk is constantly trying to hide from you, hands flash emotions in uncanny gestures, lottery balls tumble around, and turning a corner can feel terrifying. Minimalist in design yet rich in symbolic resonance, the experience channels Kafka and Lynch while taking inspiration from Stanisław Lem’s Memoirs Found in a Bathtub. It is a contemplation of bureaucracy as both architecture and existential condition — a space where exit seems impossible, and where viewers are left somewhere between a slight boredom and fascination by the strange allure of its empty corridors.
