Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer affecting women. Despite the fact that awareness about self-examination has improved significantly, few people can imagine what the journey from feeling a lump in their breast to successful recovery entails. The documentary project Mammary Mountain brings together the stories of several women and one man who have gone through this disease, reveals their experiences of all phases of the treatment process and the feelings that accompanied them, but at the same time brings testimonies of confrontation with the healthcare system. Using voice-overs, evocative animations and a vibrating haptic vest, the project allows the audience to empathise with the feelings of the survivors.
