VR worlds, as the name suggests, are 3D environments in virtual reality with the possibility of free movement. There are thousands of them on the VRChat platform, and people from all over the world meet in them mainly for the purpose of socializing, since VR worlds allow voice communication between avatars-visitors. Although they are mostly non-linear and exploratory, even the Venice Film Festival includes them in its selection, including the competitive one. So what do they have to do with film? Or are they closer to video games or fine art? Come explore the art of VR worlds during our November VRChat Saturday on November 9, 2024.
