Ron is an eight-year-old boy about to go on his first camping trip. He feels anxious — because he is deaf, he’s scared of being in a new environment full of forest dangers. To comfort him, his mother invents Eddie the Camper, a friendly monster who watches over him. As night falls, Ron dreams of a fantasy forest, and you awaken in his dream as Eddie. But there is a barrier: Ron can’t hear, and you don’t yet know sign language. In VR, using hand-tracking, you learn five essential signs — friends, try, look, relax, help — to guide Ron through his fears, build trust, and confront the unknown. This interactive journey shows us that communication goes beyond words, and that the key to bridging otherness lies in our approach.
