In a high tower above the sea, two prisoners share a cell. But one of them manages to leave it, even though his body remains between the prison walls.

Felix is a big, balding hulk who has been in a cell with his buddy for years. But from the first sight, he doesn't seem like a villain. He contemplates and smiles, and day after day he paints imaginative pictures of enchanting beauty. Where does he get the inspiration for his work, after such a long time in a dark hole behind bars? The sinister Warden decides to get to the bottom of Felix's mystery, unaware that his own soul is at stake. This expressionistic tale with horror elements is adapted from the 1988 Belgian comic book of the same name.
