Eurydyce: A Descent Into Infinity
A VR adaptation of the opera of Eurydice and Orpheus that takes the audience into the underworld and spiritual infinity.
We dive into the darkness, only somewhere in the distance the hypnotic singing of Eurydice can be heard, beckoning us to descend deeper into the underworld. We walk further and further into a labyrinth of corridors, ruins and balustrades, beyond which dizzying depths and vistas open up. Each visitor of this labyrinth embarks on a lonely journey into an in-between space, between the material world and eternity, where time disappears and the laws of space become the music of the past. Who are we and where do we belong? Among wandering souls or in the material world with both feet firmly on the ground?
